If charming small towns, majestic rolling hills, peaceful beaches and snow capped mountains are not enough to convince even the most discerning traveler to escape on the next flight to New England, than maybe these locals will.

1. Kayak the Remote Lakes of Maine

Meet at a mountain top off-grid location to begin a truly off-the-beaten path adventure into the woodlands of Maine. After following hidden footpaths and traveling across dirt roads, travelers will kayak into one of the best kept secret lakes.

Registered guide Brenda has spent the last 28 years exploring Western Maine and knows all of the best spots and stories for the ultimate kayaking retreat. She’ll even take travelers across the Carry Road, where Louise Dickinson Rich wrote about her secluded life in the book “We Took to the Woods” which can only be accessed by boat, or miles of hiking.

2. Off-the-boat Party Experience

Alanna & Chris have boated around Maine their entire lives and know the best spots to go based on the tides, wind and weather. This is far more than an average “boat tour”. Guests will have a REAL experience that only locals have access to. And if the water’s warm enough, guests will be allowed to get off the boat and go swimming, paddle boarding and play on some of the beast beaches (only reachable by boat).

3. Fall Foliage Hiking Tour + Photoshoot

After traveling the world for the majority of his life, Ryan has now been in New England for the last 10 years leading multi-day hikes. Having summited over 67 of New England’s 4,000 foot mountains and working as a professional photographer,

Ryan can teach travelers about hiking, backpacking, hiking, backpacking, local history, or on field photography. Trips are customizable to all skill levels and interests. For this specific hike, guests will immerse themselves in Borderland State Park in Massachusetts, which is full of forests, lakes, rivers and plenty of open space to unwind.

4. Hiking through the Berkshires

Having lived over 20 years in the Berkshires, Mark has made sure to record the best trails by hiking through the hills every season.  Hikers will begin their journey by connecting to the Appalachian Trail and continuing to the top of Race Mountain for some of the best views in the entire Berkshires. As a certified mindful outdoor leadership guide, Mark will also integrate some forest bathing techniques so hikers can experience a deep connection with themselves and the planet.

5. Northfork Wine Tour in a 1949 Cadillac

Experience the North Fork wine trail like a local…but in a vintage 1949 Cadillac! Travelers will be picked up by Jim who has lived in Green port, NY for over twenty years. As a local and proud collector of vintage automobiles, Jim has combined his two passions (North Fork wines and vintage cars) to create the best tour ever

6. Learn to Ride a Hot Air Balloon

Jordan grew up flying hot air balloons with his family his entire life and now he’s ready to let interested travelers learn the ropes. On site, travelers will help the ground crew set up and inflate the hot air balloon before taking off on a unique flying adventure. In the air they’ll have the chance to pilot the balloon under Jordan’s close guidance. While flying over, guests will be able to witness the best views of the Berkshires while still having plenty of opportunities for pictures and enjoyment on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure
